2013 was a major milestone for the club as we moved from a dive school to a fully-fledged dive centre operating with its own boat.
“Conqueror”, our main boat, is a semi-rigid Valiant DR750 built in 2004. She is configured for a maximum of 12 divers but most of the time we will limit
ourselves to 8 divers and take plenty of tanks with us for multiple dives.
Powered by a Honda BF225 4 stroke motor she reaches 30 knots with ease, bringing any of the Cap de Creus dive sites within 30 minutes motoring and
ensuring that we are always the first on the diving buoys.
She is equipped with a platform and a ladder mounted at the stern to ensure that divers get back on the boat safely and easily. No struggling over the tubes
on our R.I.B !
Of course safety of the divers is our priority and our additional equipment includes:
· Mariner 5hp auxiliary engine
· VHF radio and cell phones
· Garmin GPS
· Emergency locator beacon
· Danbuoy and flares
· Life rings and lifejackets
· Oxygen administration unit
· First aid kit
When the demand is high and group of divers are visiting us, we hire additional boats
from local dive centres so we are never short of capacity. Also, as a few club members
own their private boat, they will sometime join us for the day trips and it is not so unusual
to see a complete fleet from "Club Empuriabrava" cruising through the bay of Roses.
You will enjoy the ride!
